What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is the process of making changes to website or improving website's technical setup, content relevancy, and link popularity so that its pages are more visible and accessible, relevant to user search queries, and popular with users in general. As a result these pages will get more noticed and search engines will rank these pages higher(MailChimp, 2022).

How is SEO used?
There are ways to improve search results, it is difficult to completely control search algorithms. There is no SEO approach where changes can be made today and expected to show up tomorrow. Long-term SEO projects require daily work and ongoing activity. All web pages are crawled by bots used by search engines, which then download and store the data in a collection called an index. When someone looks for something in this index, search engine serves like the librarian at a library. The search engine retrieves and presents relevant data from the user's search query and displays content connected to what they are looking for. The order in which pages should appear on the SERP is determined by search engine algorithms by analyzing the index of websites(LaFleur, 2022).
